The LaserCyte® Haematology Analyser features proven
reference-laboratory laser-flow cytometry with internal quality-control checks on every run.
Laser-flow technology measures much more than cell size. It provides a detailed fingerprint of each cell. The
LaserCyte® analyser includes an optical detection system for collection of
scattered light after cell interrogation. Five different points of information are analysed to
determine each cell type based on: lobularity, nucleus/cytoplasmic ratio, cellular volume, intercellular
density and granularity.
As a result of its individual cell interrogation capabilites, the LaserCyte analyser provides:
- Full five-part optical white-cell differential
- Accurate total neutrophil count, even in extremely low total WBC counts
- Total reticulocyte count reported in absolute number and percentage
- No WBC interference by nRBCs
- No platelet interference by small RBCs
