The IDEXX-DR 1417 Digital Radiography System uses a direct energy
conversion process with a selenium detector plate, also known as a
direct conversion plate. This plate converts photon energy from your
x-ray camera directly into an electrical signal without a light
conversion layer (intensifier or scintillator), which causes
fuzziness or blurring. This results in clearer images of your
patient x-rays... every time.
