The latest on diagnostics to help you practice what’s possible with every patient
A blood test to measure Nt-proBNP has been available to
veterinarians in Europe for several years, but it was highly
inconvenient as it required a frozen sample for meaningful results.
Even after samples had been carefully packaged, many had defrosted
by the time they were received at the laboratory, thus invalidating
the results. Sometimes varying or vague interpretive criteria
compounded the difficulty in using the test.
May 2010

- Introducing the New IDEXX Cardiopet® proBNP System
Updated interpretive criteria. Convenient transport tubes to eliminate the need for frozen samples.
