EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 (general requirements for the competence of
testing and calibration laboratories).
- Formal recognition of the high quality of work produced by the
laboratory.
- Internationally recognised standard for testing laboratories that
specifically demonstrates technical competence and the ability to
generate technically valid results.

- Currently under UKAS assessment for histology and cytology
accreditation.
