Collection and Recycling Arrangements in Other EU Countries

IDEXX does not have a sales office in every EU Member State. Instead, IDEXX products are sold:

• through IDEXX sales offices established in other Member States. Selling products directly to an end-user in another Member State is known as 'distance selling'. The WEEE Recast Directive provides that the responsibility to ensure products bought through distance selling arrangements are managed in an environmentally responsible manner at end of life and lie either directly to the business end-user or to the 'distance seller'. • or through distributors for other areas. Those parties have the legal responsibility to:
  • Register as the WEEE producer.
  • Provide arrangements for collection and recycling of WEEE arising from IDEXX products that the distributor sells locally.
