Minimum DataBase: Complete Urinalysis

Complete Urinalysis

A Complete Urinalysis consisting of physical, chemical and sediment examination allows you to assess the health of the kidney and upper and lower urinary tract.

It gives information on the health of organ systems as well as providing a pivotal role in correct interpretation of biochemistry and haematology results.

What is your patient’s urinalysis telling you?

Individualise patient care

As every patient is different, you may want to build on the Minimum DataBase to individualise your patient care.

For example, in a patient presenting with overt urinary signs and pyrexia it may be sensible to add a urine culture to the Minimum DataBase.
