Collection and Recycling Arrangements in Ireland

IDEXX PRL number in Ireland is IE03178WB

Under the Irish Regulation on WEEE (149/2014) – which implement the provisions of the EU WEEE Recast Directive (2012/19/EU) – IDEXX is required to provide arrangements for the collection, recycling, and recovery of the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) that arises from IDEXX product sales, and is responsible for the costs of this waste management. These obligations apply to the management of the WEEE that your new purchase replaces (historic WEEE), as well as the new product itself (new WEEE). This helps us to ensure that WEEE is reused or recycled safely. In line with that commitment IDEXX will take back WEEE from you.

To that effect, IDEXX has established a recycling contract with the European Advanced Recycling Network (EARN) and will cover any costs of shipment, treatment, recycling and recovery of the equipment on arrival at the EARN recycling facility in Ireland. All New WEEE that arises from the purchase of IDEXX products is classed as non-hazardous waste.

To return WEEE, please coordinate collection using this link

You can contact us for further details at weee@idexx.com.

You also have a role to play in ensuring that WEEE is reused and recycled safely. So, if you choose not to return WEEE to us then you should not dispose of it in your bin. The crossed out wheeled-bin symbol on the product reminds users not to dispose WEEE in the bin. You should ensure that the WEEE is collected separately and sent for proper treatment. WEEE contains hazardous substances and if not managed and treated safely it can cause pollution and damage human health.
